Michael Bolger - Accordion

Michael Bolger’s musical career can be summed up in one word: diversity. His skills as a multi-instrumentalist on a varied assortment of brass and keyboard instruments is matched by his stylistic diversity.

Michael was born and raised in Los Angeles. He fell in love with music at a young age and pursued study at UCLA and Cal Arts, earning a BFA in jazz trumpet in 1997. Since graduating, Michael’s career has blossomed to include a long list of accolades and recording credits including Jewel, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ry Cooder, Jimmy Cliff and the ubiquitous television cartoon Spongebob Squarepants for which received the 2013 BMI TV Music Award.

He can be heard performing piano, accordion, trumpet, valve trombone, sousaphone and jazz organ in a wide variety of Los Angeles ensembles. Michael has also served as a teacher at the Silverlake Conservatory of Music since the school's  beginning in 2001.

Michael is currently learning, practicing, creating, arranging or composing music.

Ron Levy - Piano

Ron Levy is a pianist/keyboard performer/bandleader/composer/arranger/producer and music educator. He works in a wide range of musical styles, including jazz, classical, rock, blues, pop and world music.

He draws on his classical background and vast knowledge of recorded repertoire to forge productive and creative collaborations with other musicians, resulting in sessions which are highly creative, adventurous, and stimulating, and which result in vital music which is always powerful, surprising and new.

Ron has excellent reading and improvisational skills, the ability to work effortlessly in all twelve keys and to transpose on the spot, and exhibits an innate musicality and high level of creative musicianship. He loves to draw from various sources, and mix and match or cross-fertilize opposing styles to generate something new and vital. He is a strong advocate for craft in all aspects of musical creativity, and a big believer in the adroit use of harmony and melody as epitomized in the Great American Songbook.

Benjamin May - Acoustic Bass

Benjamin was raised in the Midwest by a musical family with strong roots in classical music. In 1987 he moved to Los Angeles and has been a fixture in the jazz scene ever since.

Some notable artists Benjamin has performed with include: Joe Pass, Anita O’Day, Annie Ross, Rosemary Clooney, Ernie Andrews, Barbara Morrison, The Jimmy Dorsey Big Band, Johnny Crawford, Ben Vereen, Red Holloway, Ray Brown, and Rob Mullins. He has performed in Japan, Thailand, Europe and across the United States in addition to numerous cds and live concerts throughout the greater LA area. Benjamin has also been fortunate to open for such greats as Joe Zawinul and Tony Bennett, to name just a few.

Benjamin makes his home today in Long Beach, CA where he continues to perform and teach music for all levels.

Alan Cook - Drums, Percussion

Alan Cook brings a dynamic and multifaceted perspective to the creative exploration of the percussive arts. His 40 years of diverse musical experience includes performing with Nigerian master drummer Francis Awe’s Talking Drum Ensemble, competing to top honors with the Misty Isle Pipe Band, ensembles large and small covering music in a wide range of genres, as well as extended experience in solo accompaniment for modern dance and performance art. He has performed with renowned musicians such as Dave Holland, Albert Mangelsdorf, Bobby Bradford, Fred Katz, Lee Konitz, Don Thompson, Ralph Alessi, Vinny Golia, Kei Akagi, among many others.

Mignonne Profant - Vocals

Mignonne Profant is a vocalist, actress and motivational speaker who takes great pleasure in connecting with her audience, regardless of the setting. She has performed throughout Southern California with several theater and opera companies, and owned an interactive entertainment company for 10 years.  She now specializes French songs and music of the ‘40’s, performing regularly for private and corporate events throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

 Ms. Profant is also co-founder of the Profant Foundation for the Arts, a non-profit organization which gives scholarships to developing artists as well as producing free concerts and exhibits of professional artists in the Santa Barbara community.
